Warrior Ancient and Medieval Rules

Hi everyone (forgive the X-posting, I am sending this out to several mailing
lists)

I would like to make a proposal of sorts to the membership of this list. If
anyone responds to this, do so off the list (my email is below).

Our games group has been looking into starting up a miniatures gaming
society based around the NE US (centered around NE PA, including MD, DE, NY,
NJ, perhaps more) of sorts for the purpose of playing and promoting
**tournaments** with DBx
rules systems (and Armati, WAB, AW/MW, and other rules).

What we would like to do is determine how many people from around this
region
would be interested in such a thing.

This society would not be as formal as NASAMW, and would run its own
tournaments (in various formats) throughout the year, keeping track of
player standings...all culminating in a championship tourney once a year.
Awards/prizes would be given out for various titles.

All this is in the early stages, and I will not get into any details about
it on this list. I will say that membership would not cost anything (at the
moment anyway),
although registration fees MIGHT be needed for tournaments. Location of
tournaments is yet to be decided, but would likely start off located in NE
PA. We would like it if Gaming Clubs from around the region would sponsor
these tournaments.

If anyone is interested in such a thing I would like to hear from you. Send
me an email OFF THE LIST if interested, and give me your thoughts, and the
rules you play. Also, if you are a representative of a game club within the
region get in touch with me. My email is:

DBM
DBA
DBR
Armati
AW/MW
WAB
Warrior

If you know of other rules that would be appropriate at this time let us
know.
