Having a Amelekite (or Midianite, as I think they are more commonly known)
army, I would point out to you, John, that they have extreme trouble with foot
archers. In order for the camels to reach charge range, they must stay out
of skirmish (after the first march) as they are irreg. Then they die, no
matter how much they give back to the foot.
Han should be the bane of their existence, so I suspect you took a Han force
with a high proportion of mounted - is this true?

Yes, I was trying to experiment, and learn, a little with artillery and
chariots. I had 4 LCh and 8 HCh and well as 6E artillery. Still have some
pondering to do with the army. I normally love the large numbers of infantry
with rear rank CB, but was trying some new ideas out.

How did the Chariots work out John?

Not too great. I don't think it was the chariots so much as the commander
I ended up getting myself all congested in the attack, and by the time I
worked my way out of it, the Amelikite camelry shot the snot out of them. The
terrain was a little too congested. I had similar problems against the Early
Turks. Really need to open up the terrain more, and I need to practice
actually using them so I can get the timing down between Lc and HCh.

I used two units with four chariots, so they could stand up as far as CPF and
two units of two each. That worked except for once when a 4E unit got caught
in column passing through a narrow gap. They got crushed at other end before
I could deploy to two ranks. I used B instead of CB so I could support shoot
from the HCh.
