First off, I'm sorry you took my posts as a comment on the general
quality of the lists, as that was certainly not my intent.
However, your message is clearly that I should know better than to be
asking these questions, but as a new player, how would I? Even today
your assumptions are not to be found on the website or the rulebook,
and the recenet posts made on the list will vanish into the past.
Similarly your comments about those who don't agree with your design
philosphy being better off playing a different game, how can they make
that decision when your design philosophy only appears on the message
board sporadically in situations like these?
And finally, as a new customer of your business, I'd like to say that
I like your product, but have and will continue to have questions
about the features. I'm also hoping the customer service won't be so
prickly in the future.

First, once again, the prep of the new rulebook is taking 99.999% of my Warrior
time. Everything else is having to wait.
One of those many everything elses is designer's notes.
Another is a set of optional and experimental rules to address some of the
things folks have brought up here.
Another is a review of Biblical and Dark Age lists.
Yet another is a means of capturing past issues somehow so that newer players
can go to them directly and 'catch up' instead of sounding like they are beating
long dead equines.
There are many more. You can't find many things on our admittedly low-tech
website because we haven't done them yet. Not because we don't care or don't
have the background or because we think design philosophy unimportant, but
because the four of us have (sometimes more than) full time jobs. This is still
a hobby for us too. We ask your patience.
Some not so new players know this - and they continue to raise issues long since
explained and put away. Or, as a more recent trend, older players have jumped
in on newer players raising old issues that they are not aware are old issues.
Often what is being termed a 'discussion' is filled with accusations that we did
not do our homework or that we aren't listening or that clearly since we didn't
do it your way we got it wrong, that the issue is certainly obvious to all your
players and why don't you thick heads at FHE fix your damned selves. I am not
making this up - those posts are there for all to see. So, Scott, recently back
struggling to catch up at his day job after volunteering in Hurricane Katrina
cleanup finds yet another old issue being bantered around with the occasional
how come you guys are so screwed up tone thrown in or the sugar-coated barb - he
feels it necessary to call out the perps. I can't blame him for being a little
prickly seeming.
I would suggest to all that *starting* with the assumption that we know what we
are doing and have very good reasons for the choices we make might go a long way
to having these things actually be 'discussions' - which is what we all want.
As far as designer's notes and related material, we'll just have to ask your
patience. Again.

It's not necessarily a reaction to you alone, Nicholas. FHE gets a
lot of questions and suggestions here and elsewhere.
Some questions and suggestions have helped them out...'some'. Thus,
they continue to listen.
Scott's posts are a general reaction to points that keep coming up
that FHE cannot accomodate.
So, nothing personal, and keep your interest in Warrior, it's well
worth it.
