Lemme apologize up front for something that is marginally applicable to the
Warrior gaming system. If you are not a member of HMGS-East, delete this now
since it won't apply to you.
This week, everybody who is a member of HMGS-E will be getting a ballot in the
mail complete with candidate statements for elections to the HMGS-E Board. The
same statements will also be in the upcoming Newsletter (I'm editor in case you
didn't know).
As Editor, I don't make any suggestions or pronouncements in the Newsletter on
candidates other than to urge folks to vote. However, in our little forum here,
I don't mind making such a statement.
Obviously I can't tell anyone how to vote, but as you look over the ballot and
statements, I'd strongly urge everyone to support the three incumbants:
Mitch Osborne
Rick Edgvedt
Del Stover
and one new guy
Ron Oldham.
Why? Well, obviously I've worked with the incumbents in one way or another for
many years now. We, as Warrior players, have benefitted greatly at the big East
coast cons for their support in terms of space, freedom to do what we want, and
this year, Theme Prizes. As for Ron, he comes highly recommended by an outgoing
Board member who I've worked very closely with for years.
So, please burn one stamp and mail in your ballot. We need to get the vote out,
hence this email. Again, I apologize for it's political content. I now turn
you back over to Helen, her boobs and the Walls of Troy.
Scott

Jokes aside, everyone on this list who happens to be a member should
recognize the benefits that we Warrior gamers get from support at the
"management" level at HMGS_E, and turn out and vote. We have four members
operating out of this address, and will do our best to see that we present
a united front.

AS President of NASAMW, I have tried to not to give orders or make
demands. But I have asked for members to help to make it, Voting is
important to our future. We have heard complaints about NASAMW using
its voting weight before and it isn't problem that we are the largest
group of gamers at the HMGS-E events. We have more events running
than any other single group. We need proper representation at the
board level. If you are a member of HMGS-E, please vote for the
individuals Scott has listed.
Thank you

I think that might depend on how you define "event." The HAWKS put
on a very high percentage of the scheduled games. And if you count
up the number of participants, the HAWKS have probably 6-10 people
per game, and each game probably lasts 1 1/2 or 2 times as long as
one tournament round. In terms of "customer gaming hours" NASAMW
might not be the only elephant in the garden.

reversal in the heroin addiction, syphilis, violent crime, and
political corruption spawned by the last 30+ years of liberal
