my friendly body echelons to contact two enemy bodies. Both enemies
break off after HTH. My friendly body pursues.
During the pursuit does it:
A) stay echeloned during the pursuit and until it rallys
B) straighten out in a line with the echeloned forward elements
c) straighten out in line with the echeloned back units
It seems to me that it should be "A" but again, it was important in a
game and enemy general thought it was "C"

So the pursuit distance is measured from the echeloned forward units
and the echeloned back units "catch up" thus exceeding their tactical
move?
Just want to confirm.

The echeloned back elements (not units) are brought into alignment before
the forward combat results move is made.
