Several people mentioned that the question was debated in the past and that I
look into the archives.
I tried a search for almugavars and for moogs, but did not find anything. Maybe
a spelling issue. Are there other key words that I should use?

You might try "almughavars", but more probably, when you search it
only looks through the current batch of messages - which is not
obvious - and you need to hit the 'previous' key ad nauseum to get
back to the past where the messages in question were posted. It can
take a while.

Well, using 'Moog' I get probably a hundred or so hits. The search
only looks at batches of messages, so you need to keep hitting 'next'
- if you missed that, search results will be minimal.

Thanks Emilio.
Are there any modern sources in Spanish that discuss almogávares and their
equipment?
