Hi, Jon, thanks for answering my questions. It seems that a signal to
switch from Wait to Attack orders can be made at any time during a
turn eg during the Staff Moves phase, and it will take effect at the
start of the following turn. Obviously a visible order (eg wave a
flag) has to be visible to the general concerned, but what about an
audible signal (eg three trumpet blasts)- are there any restrictions
on the range or audibility of such a signal? Could you, for instance,
have the signal transmitted to a command on the other side of a hill
or wood?

Chris

I am working on section for this rule for the revised rulebook that tightens
up what exactly constitutes a visible and audible signal. I'll put it here
as soon as it is done.

Jon
