Dear All,

The Australian 25mm Warrior Championships were held in Newcastle on the
weekend just gone.

Format was:
6 games- 3 and a half hours each (plus or minus 10 minutes)
Terrain was preset- (using the (open, medium closed system)
Tables were 8 by 6- open comp single list of 1600pts.

Results
Jeff Tillitski-Incas-28- 1st
Paul Collins-Hoh. Sicillian-20 - 2nd
Murray Evans-Pal. Byzantine-18*
Martin Williams-Early Indian-18*
Darren Holmes - Sass. Persian-17
Adrian Williams-Timurid -15
Graeme Ralph -Early Imp. Roman - 14
Dale Dobbie - Arab Conquest - 14
Tibor Lendvai - Mongol - 14
John Ball- Mid. Camels 12

Warren Hedley- Seleucid-10
Bob Jeffery- Feudal Japanese-9 (4 games)
John Harris- Early Imp. Roman-8
Barry Hayes- 100YW English- 8

*Murray Evans took 3rd Place on a countback

Best and fairest award went to Tibor Lendvai- although in truth it
could have gone to just about any player- the comp was played in a
great spirit, and while there were a number of –tricky- umpiring
decisions to be made (questions for Jon to follow in another post) they
were all received with good grace. Thanks to all the players for
making my job easy. Hope to see some OS players make it down here for
next years comp.

Thanks to Ray Compton on Essex Miniatures Australian for being our
Major Sponsor.
