For the forseeable future, the Warrior US national championship will be the
one sponsored by NASAMW. 1600 points, 3 or 4 x 4 hour rounds. 25mm on an
8'x5' table.

With talk of Warrior world championships to be arranged in several
years, we should start to think about organising and holding an
Australian championship.
The items which would need to be resolved would include:
* scale (15 or 25 - should match what is decided for world comp -
15mm may attract more DBM players but 25mm is the scale of choice in
Australia)
* location (Sydney, Melb, Canberra, Newcastle)
* timing (replace an existing comp or new timing altogether)
* duration (2 or 3 days)
* points (1,200 or 1,500 or 1,600)
* open or invitational (ie do you have to qualify as top 5 in your
local area)
A number of these items will depend on what the FHE boys decide in
the US, but all players thoughts are welcome (especially Australian
players as it would need their support to get up.)
A full listing of all Australian players, and their locations, scales
etc would assist. I shall attempt to create a file on the Ozwarrior
yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ozwarrior/) which people
can update, which lists their location, preferred scale, and examples
of armies which they own.
If we can get most Australian players on this yahoo group it would
help, so try to get those not yet registered involved. The Ozwarrior
site is designed to help Australian (or Kiwi) players organise comps
etc. Any rules questions etc should stay on this site for Jon to
answer (got to keep him awake somehow)!.

Dear All,
For those who aren't aware- there is already an Australian Warrior
Championship.
The championships have been running for a number of years (26 I think)-
However---this is the first time that Warrior has been run in place of
7th edition. So it could be seen as our -first-.
All Australian and Overseas players are most welcome.
The comp is a single list 15mm 1500pts comp. Three and a half hour
games on 6 by 4 tables. 6 rounds. It is held in Canberra on the
Australia Day weekend each year. This year coming (2004) it is the
24-26 January.
For further details including entry forms and entry booklet see
http://www.cgs.asn.au/cancon.htm
The comp is being run by David Lawrence
drop me a line if you want more info and I'll point you in the right
direction.
Note re scale discussion- this is the only remaining 15mm comp on the
east cost of Australia tournament -circuit- All the others are 25mm.
We tend to go for either 4 or 6 rounds and almost always a single list.
Cheers,
Greg P
