Joe,

A 25mm competition baggage camp is a unit of 4 elements of 60mmx60mm. Those
elements are transport for all game purposes (movement, combat, etc.)

I am almost done with the (I fell very comprehensive) transport rule, which
should eliminate the confusion we caused you. I know what caused your
confusion and it is getting fixed.
When I am done, I will post the transport rules section here for review. It
is the last major rules section before we start clean-up, hurray.

Jon

Any chance these could be "depth as needed" stands to accommodate figures?

Yes, Greg, but we will have a basic standard that they 'should' be so folks
know how to 'fight' them if necessary.

Jon,

Just a thought. Could you or someone write up a
hypothetical attack on a baggage camp so I could
understand how one is attacked and taken?

I've read the section over and over and still am
confused. I know that it is now undefended unless one
opts to leave troops in there - so I guess two
examples are needed. One defended, one undefended.

Thanks,

Todd

Why, yes, Todd, I'd be happy to. In fact, I essentially already have.

Warrior Clinic #2, about to appear in Spearpoint, is on doing Warrior in 30mm
(or 28mm or whatever we are calling oversized 25's these days..lol).

Warrior Clinic #3 is all about camps.

Now, you do have to wait. The reason for that is, despite my and other's best
efforts, NASAMW's members have decided to keep a paper-based publication. So,
in order to support them I send the Warrior clinics to them and let them publish
them there first and only put the clinic out on the web after Spearpoint has
been out for a short while. If I didn't do it this way, we'd essentially be
dropping all support of Spearpoint and although I am not into paper magazines, I
do want to work with them while they figure all that out.

If I get the chance, I will write a different clinic for next issue and put the
camp one out here, but it doesn't look like I will get that kind of time.

Please hit me with questions, though.

And note - in all the tournaments I have played in from 1986 through last year,
I never saw or fought an on-table camp in 7th, so I have no idea how whoever was
doing that did it. You can't use that as some kind of baseline with me.

Jon

Jon,

Thanks - I'll be waiting for the write up. Since
WARRIOR has had the on table camp there have been
numerous attempts to loot it and each one is different
depending upon the umpires rulings.

"And remember Sergeant, the penalty for looting is death!"
"Loot, there's nothing here to loot. There's no booze, no broads, no action!"

Ah, everything you ever want to learn about leadership you'll find in Kelly's
Heroes.

That has nothing to do with this but everytime I see the word "loot", that's w
hat I think of.

I thought I'd post some samples to inspire others who haven't gotten camps
made for their armies yet.
