Hello All!

Need some advice. Anyone have any ideas on how to cleverly handle 28mm SHC
figures on 60X40mm bases? Fitting 4 mounted figures on these bases is a BIG
squeeze and before I ampute some riders legs to make them fit I was
wondering what other solutions anyone might have.

Please advise! Thanks!>>
Jon, someone had a really good mail a while back about how to do this. It
is in the archives, or maybe the author will come up and help. I'll look for
it also.

Remember you can make that base as deep as you need to to accomodate.

NO need to deepen the base. I have done this 8 times now, each
geting a little better.

First, use snips to trim the bases of the horses right up against the
hooves. You don't need all of that extra base and it gives you more
room to work with if you have to adjust positioning of each horse on
the base.

I build all of my figures before I paint them and test mount them
before I paint them. When you try to mount the figs look for what is
getting in the way of drawing the figs up next to each other.

Some times it is a foot on a rider that can be filed down along one
side. Often it is a shield or arm positioned too far to one side.
If you don't know how to modify your figs that is another post, but I
often move those lance arms that are out to one side so that they are
more forward thrusting. If you have shield issues look to file an
edge down aswell. It will be hidden against the figure you are
butting it up against anyway. Once you have the figs modified to fit
on the base, and don't be afraid to move them around in your
experimentation to see if different figs fit differently in one of
the 4 positions, then paint a 1-4 on the top of the base of the horse
so that you know where each fig fits on the base.
