Last night I put together 2 lists from the pre-feudal Germans to
oppose each other:

2E IrgB HC L/sh CNC
2x 2E IrgB HC L/sh
6E IrgB MI LTS/sh
6E IrgC MI CB
6E IrgC LI SS

2E IrgB HK/HC L/sh CNC
2E Reg HK/HC L/sh
2E IrgB HC J/sh
6E RegD MI LTS/sh
6E RegC LI CB

I played the second list, my son the first. I won mainly because the
close order CB were screened by the LI and shot up. The LI forced
the MI CB to take 2 waver tests (good rolls), and eventually I was
able to get some HK into their flank to rout them on contact. It was
ugly for the MI.

Another interesting aspect of this game was the oh so slow grind when
the two MI LTS/sh guys came together. I advised my son to not charge
me impetuos so that he wouldn't be - facing steady LTS. I stood to
recieve, and for about 4 bounds these two units just ground
themselves tired.

I used the HC Jls/sh to skirmish off two of his HC units causing them
both to become tired after two bounds. He just never rolled long nor
I short, otherwise he would have caught and routed me.

I lost my LI and my HK unit. He lost 1 HC unit, his LI and his MI CB.
Overall a fun game that lasted 1.25 hours.
