As one who regularly beats dead horses, I must say that it is a sovereign
remedy. One beats them because when something is seen to be wrong, FHE is not
above admitting it and fixing the problem. Admittedly, sometimes it takes
awhile. There have been list changes and core rule changes made directly
because one of us had a dead horse to beat.
One dead horse I beat early, and was told in no uncertain words to forget it,
was for allowing regulars to expand in a follow-up. I see that this was
recently addressed and the core rules were changed to allow for this. There are
many others as is seen in the list rules and rules addendum.
On the other hand, there are several dead horses I have buried for good because
I came around to the FHE point of view.
Keep beating those dead horses. They generate the most interesting discussions
as they are being written by those who care about the subject.
