Just a quick note to publicly thank Bill Low for once again hosting an
excellent day (morning in my case) of gaming this last Monday. I got to
play against the Tang, an army I still think can do well at any level, and
I know that the masses (I think there were at least 8, maybe ten, gamers
there?) all had fun. Samurai against Irish I missed most of, but it must
have been a bloodfest...
...and Bill even provided good coffee and pain au chocolat. With a
perfect Sunday morning for the drive down, what more could one want?

Actually, the Samurai rolled up, and the Irish rolled down, which made for a
one-sided blood fest. A failed waiver from shooting by eager Galloglaich
didn't help either. However, the Samurai's victory was eclipsed by the
super unit of LI Kerns that stood to receive a Samurai charge in desperation
and broke the Samurai on contact (the emboldened Samurai had fanned out in a
single line to take a hill)!
The real bloodfest was in the next battle, when 2000 points of Samurai went
head to head with 2000 points of Tang. Jake, with his "Bonzai" battlecry
swept the right flank. I think the two sides collectivley killed at least
1500 points of troops. A lot of fun.
Thanks again to Bill.
