Just a reminder about this weekend's Fast Warrior tourney at Border Wars (Kansas
City):

Starts Friday 10 October at 7pm with two 1.5 hour rounds that evening followed
by a third 1.5 hour round Saturday 11 October at 9am. 15mm Armies from the
WARRIOR rule book as follows:
194-Scots Isles/Highlands
198-Scots Common
199-Later Welsh
200-Anglo-Irish
203-Later Polish
205-Granadine
206-Navarrese
208-Low Countries
209-Holy Roman Imperial
210-Swiss
211-Medieval German Princes
212-Medieval German Leagues
213-Medieval Irish
214-100 Years War English
215-Italian Condotta
216-Medieval French
217-Later Teutonic Order
218-Medieval Spanish
219-Free Company
220-Early Burgundian
222-French Ordonnance

Terrain will not be preset (we do this at Cold Wars and Hcon because we also run
incredibly shortened rounds, 70-75 minutes each). I will have 6 ground cloths
and plenty of terrain in case you need some. Jon, please bring your ground
cloths as well on the off chance we pull more than 12 players. The break
between rounds 1-2 on Friday night will be long enough only for me to redo the
pairings, then everybody wades back into the fray. Eat dinner before you
arrive:)Smile:)

First round pairings: I'll start by randomly pairing "out of towners" vs
"locals", then randomly pair any remainders. Afterwards, ruthless Swiss
pairings.

Scoring will be straight out of FW. Ties will be broken by opponent's record
(standard practice). If somebody is still tied after that, total time of your
games will be the next tie breaker so it behooves you to play *fast*. I'll have
the scoring sheets Jon made up for everybody.

I'll be the floater, playing Swiss unless I've loaned out lead. I'll be
bringing my box of generic medieval crud and can probably put together 2-4
armies depending on which ones are used. Hopefully everybody has armies ready
and raring to go so my stuff won't be needed. I'll consider myself an "out of
towner" in first round pairings should I end up playing.

I'm very excited about this event!

Scott
