				| Hi Guy,

Getting a little anal perhaps, but am inspired by some paint jobs I've seen
and wanting to up appearance of next troops I paint. I overheard a discussion
about stringing bows up several months back and am considering giving it a try
in 15mm. I also liked the chariot reins I saw at DBM tournament in LA in
June. Anyone out there do any of this? Do you do anything more than knot some
fine thread and perhaps dot it with superglue to fix knot?

 Thanks,
 John Garlic

I am a bowstringer in 15mm. String will not work. It's too flimsy. Strip
some speaker wire and use the filaments, supergluing after you wrap each
end around each end of the bow. Some figures are amenable to drilling the
pullback hand behind the arrow feather to v-shape the string of a figure
in the act of shooting. You just have to experiment and practice.
Needlenose pliers and tweezers also come in handy.

No. You do it before. Then black prime the entire figure with spray primer
and dry brush the string white or ivory.

				| Thanks Greek and Kelly for some ideas to digest on bowstrings as I begin work
on my new 15mm army. Can't say what it is since hoping to finish work by
 FWW.

				| I have used dental floss (15) and tape (25mm). Remember you have to out
proportion the object or will not look right.

				| Johnny,

I use very flattened wire from the hardware store that I paint leather
color. It seems to be easier to work with than thread or string.
