Those of us who play a lot of knight armies would like to suggest that you not
play any army involving Burmese elephants. Spare yourself the agony; really.
You'd be much better off playing, oh, say, one of those Biblical armies with
lots of close order JLS guys. And no shields.

Irregular Miniatures can be ordered from our own Jake Kovel (Silver Eagle
Wargames). I have four of these elephants that I purchased and painted up to
use with my 10 Independent States army (alas, with only 3 crew, not 6).

I'm not very impressed with Irregular for foot figures. I have some Chinese
spearmen and archers of theirs that are mediocre at best. However, the Burmese
elephant crew are among their better foot figures. Fairly dynamic poses, decent
texture to make drybrushing or washes easy. The limbs are a bit spindly, but not
too bad overall. The elephants are excellent. Sturdy, easy to paint, and
colorful with skull caps, blankets, and bells hanging from the harnesses.

I'm sure there are others who make Burmese elephants, but in my opinion
Irregular is a good way to go for this specific case.
