I've been wandering about the army lists and getting some help from
guys here, but now I want to change my line of questioning in order
to perhaps quickly get at some answers.

What I am looking for is a small number of units/elements/figures in
an army that has some awsome punch and adequate missile fire. I know
larger is better, but I really want small so that the challenge to
win is harder. I also want enough options to address the big three
threats: El, irregular LMI, and L armed Kniggits. I think the best
options for these parameters are in the later medaevil period europe.

I mostly face chariots, bows, later Romans, more bows, some El with
bows, and occasional wild LMI types.

Any suggestions welcome Smile

Boyd,
You know that Nike Byzantines can have it all except for the nasty Knight
types.. . Heck, they get pikes, HTW, Darts, Caltrops, cruise missiles, SHC,
LTS, REG A Speed Bumps (close order Varangians), Loose order Varangians. . .
Loads of Missile troops. . .
They can handle just about anybody!
