In my 2 trips to Lancaster I have experienced two games that were
held to 4 bounds total. In my opinion, this is ridiculously slow
play and was done by the players in an attempt to get an advantage.
I think this is the worst form of sportmanship around. I would
rather face almost any type of opponent that one who drags the game
out like this. It is not fun, it is not interesting, and it is not
fair.

I periodically run leagues (including Warrior) in KC and the next one
is going to employ a simple timer. Maybe the Lancaster events need
some time restrictions: 10 minutes to place terrain and get ready to
place your army. 20 minutes for setup. 5 minutes for each moverment
phase. If you are paying attention, you know what you are going to
do, and if you are not, well, you owe it to your opponent to be.

Most of the games I played last weekend went 8 to 10 bounds. We were
both on top of the game, the games were fun (win or lose)and were
played to a satisfactory conclusion. Isn't that what we are really
there for?

in KC to the incredibly slow pace in Lancaster - and the force has to
change with that transition as well.
