To All,
I want to start by thanking Scot for a well run and enjoyable weekend of
Warrior competition. You take on a thankless mission and make it work every
year. Eric, honorable mention to you as well.
Secondly, to all my opponents over the weekend, thank you for the
enjoyable gaming and for putting up with my CRS (can't remember sh--). Only
getting
to play once every 4 to 6 months leds to a fuzzy brain.
I learn a lot every game I play and take note on the swings in types of
armies that are in attendance. There was no overwhelming numbers of heavy
elephant or knight armies. There were some balanced representation of these
troop types but no Panzer Division Armies. I did note that the Chinese Armies
are in favor at the moment. It will be interesting to see what the swing of
favored armies will be to better the Chinese in the next Tourney. I have to
laud the laud the players of the Nik Byzantine and 100YW. Traditional armies
that were very well fought and painted.
I pick and fight armies that spark my interest. I have not found a Killer
Army that is such and is to my liking. I have however meet a lot of
different armies that test my brain and skill then teach me a new lesson each
game
about my skills, the rules and my army's capabilities.
Thanks again to all fro a great weekend.

First Off, I had a great time, and can now put a face to certain
posts. I also had the opportunity to be schooled by Ewan on light
infantry tactics, (I thought you'd look older and more scholarly).
One thing I did notice, and will make a comment on (not a rant, I was
beaten 5-1 by someone, and already read their rant).
I brought markers to place next to my units to show their "state".
Now I am a modeller and painter 1st, gamer 2nd, so they were green to
minimize the impact visually, and when I finish my own 25mm army I'll
use certain figures/etc. to show status.
It was interesting to have my opponent(s) reach over and place one of
their status markers on my units as soon as the dice stopped
rolling! Now, I'm usually a 15mm player so I thought OK, I'll go
with this, it must be a 25mm thing, but after repeatedly mentioning
to more than one opponent that they had not marked THEIR OWN units
after a change in status, it did seem a little bit much. Probably
the worst was the opponent across from me who pushed his teammate out
of the way to place their markers on my partner's units as they
changed status!
I understand getting caught up in the excitment of competition, etc.,
but I know I'd want to ensure I was properly representing my own
units before I started reaching over a table to force my markers on
an opponent with out even asking if he had markers.
Just an observation; I had fun, and played a lot of great guys and
learned much that will impact how I organize my own force for the
future.
