Not a problem for me either; been doing this with 25mm for years, coming all the
way from California.
My approach is two stackable plastic toolboxes that strap together into a
single, carry-on sized item, and can comfortably accomodate two variants of a
2000 point army. Terrain goes in the suitcase with clothing, etc., and
regretably must now be checked through.
Overall, very workable though, and I've never had any security check problems
with figures.

Excellent,
Just make sure that your airport is not anal retentive and tells you that
you can't load with sharpened wire pikes or spears as they do in San Antonio!
Uggh!

I took my 25mm Seleucids to the Security Office at the San Antonio
airport, to see if they would be a problem. The guy took one look at
the sharpened wire pikes and told me that if I got these through the
gate, someone would be losing their job. ha-ha!

Go back to that guy with a broken-off ear piece from a pair of
eyeglasses. Ask him to explain the difference between a six-inch
piece of metal and a 3 inch piece of wire. If he persists, then
demand that he ban eyeglasses as well.
You can take it up the line to the TSA too.

Really no suprise there. The unfortunate truth, coming from someone who
travels every week and so gets to deal with the "patriots" manning the TSA, is
that it really depends on who is doing the inspecting. This of course is no
comfort when trying to take them on a trip.
