With regards to chariots, my understanding is thet there were two major
reasons for their dissapearance.
1) They cost way more on a comparative basis than a M1 batle tank, vs, early
horsemen at least.
2) Their strategic mobility was much lower than a horseman, plus their
tactical mobility was limited by terrain
