Thanks for this information. I'll look forward to the clarification, but I
understand the general idea. I have several follow up questions; let me start
with the simplest one:
A unit of chariots recoils and follows up against a unit of Roman legionaries.
Next bound, another unit of legionaries charges through, replacing the recoiled
unit in combat against the chariots. Which of the following is true:
(1) The chariot horses get to count as fighting because they have forward
momentum;
(2) The chariot horses do not get to count as fighting because they do not count
as following up against the replacing unit.
