I also wouldn't consider cart mounted bolt shooters a gimmick, I
think the original comment about worthless was more about their cost
versus how much you get out of them. Some people consider them
pricey for what you get. Not all that maneuverable, and not really
hard enough hitting.

From my experience the other disadvantage is the factor that others shot
back at cart mounted bolt shooters with. Bolt shooters are much less
susceptible to shooting when not mounted on a bull's-eye.
