In later rounds? Correct me if I'm wrong, but only two figures can fight.
Did I miss something about following rounds somewhere?

The restriction for only 2 elephant and chariot crew fighting applies only
to the first round. It makes Indian Chariots and Burmese elephants extra
tough in subsequent rounds of combat.
