Jon,
I am in concurrance with your new mechanics for wedge as well as to special
comments in the list, not in the rules.
I find my self planning theme armies out for as long as Scott has listed
them. I notice in the Roman Armies theme certian periods will allow for the
Romans to purchase a "swordsman" status. Will this type of status be added
to the new Roman lists of appropriate time frames? Will the Midieveal Swiss
get the swiss rules added to their list as additional capabilities? Just
Curious.

Entirely possible, but I have to talk to Scott.

At this point, I really don't know. I do feel that the "swordsman" rule
(which is an old NASAMW carryover from the 80s), is warranted in certain lists
(possibly Polybian Roman thru Early Imperial). But, since those armies will
be in Books that are at the end of the "to do" chain, I'm not sweating em at
this point.
The Swiss are closer on the "to do" chain and yeah, I can almost guarantee
some type of "Swiss Rule" for the Swiss. Now, will it be exactly like the
"theme Rule" used in the two Medieval Tourneys over the last 10 years? I
can't say at this point. I can say that those rules worked pretty well within
the period.
Scott
