Sean quoth (lots of good stuff snipped; PLEASE, people, trim your
posts. That plaudit post saying 'great post' and then quoting the whole
thing, double-spaced, is guaranteed to arouse the ire of digest readers
especially...):

Yeah, Jenny is actually into painting herself, so that's not a huge
issue, but having jobs 2.5 hours apart plus small child leaves basically
no time for *anything* including painting. I do have most of the lead
for the Germans (although I think that my list is about to become
illegal) albeit back in the UK. And have had for fifteen years now....
...hence the desire to have someone else maybe do the painting for me;
will trade a few $ for time. Just a few . Anyway, no-one seems to be
jumping to offer me armies. You're all just scared, right?.... ;)
On a different track, I think that knight-heavy has always been the only
way to go with medieval armies. It's amazed me to see folk try to play
with two or three knight units and a supporting cast. I suspect Sean
thinks the same way, but the Imperialists are perhaps the extreme case:
I run them with 10-11 SHK units, whole bunch of reg LI (mostly HG,
useful against other K!), and little if anything else. Sometimes some
HI w/ Pa to soak up missile fire if I'm playing at 1600; never at 1200.
You can expect to see these in both mini and Theme at H'con .
