Ok, a couple of quick questions regarding Early Hoplite Greeks.
-Does the regrading of Hoplites to irregular status prohibit them from
taking advantage of the list rules that allow Spartan and Theban
troops from fighting in more than two ranks?
-Is regrading Hoplites to irregular status the only way to get the
option to arm them with JLS?

Yes, it prohibits them from doing that.
