Jon:

Thanks for the answers. What was not clearly stated by me previously I'll
try again below (hopefully won't get rendered useless by justification):

ELELEL Body A is in contact with enemy elephants.
AAAAAA 2nd rank of Body A, armed with missile weapons, can fire
AAAAAA at elephants in support fire.

ELELEL B Body A is in contact with enemy elephants (one model deep)
AAAAAA B EL and Body A have same frontage
AAAAAA B Body B is friendly to body A and is in missile range of EL
B Body B may fire at EL during support shooting.
___________________________________________________________________________

ELELEL Body A is in contact with elephants (one model deep)
AAAAAA EL and Body A have same frontage
AAAAAA Body B is friendly to Body A, and in missile range
Body B may not fire at EL during support shooting
as per 8.7, No other overhead shooting...

ELELEL Body A is in contact with elephants (one model deep)
AAA EL have wider frontage than body A
AAA Body B is friendly to body A
Body B is within missile range of EL
A portion of body B may fire at the EL in support
shooting

If the above gets wrecked in cyberspace, please just answer that it was
unintelligible and I'll set up a better diagram in a separate file later.

And lastly, 9.61 would be the only exception for non-artillery missile
troops to shoot over intervening troops (from or to a tower).

Thanks for the patience regarding redundancies in questions.

You are most welcome. Don't worry about a limit - you got a question, ask it
here.
