Yes, alas. Makes the choice of elephant type interesting for the Seleucids.

The answer depends on whether the JLS guy is the driver. Armed drivers
never shoot; armed crew can indeed. Only one extra crewman is counted
in shooting, regardless of how many crew exist, and it is (I believe) at
the option of the shooting player what the nominal extra shooter uses if
there is a choice and it matters.

Both answers are correct, but I would continue to ask that I be the only one
answering rules questions here. It just causes problems that I do not have the
time to spend fixing.
