Sorry Ed, I am not biting. Given the choice between working on Campaign Warrior
and revisiting this non-issue, I choose CW.

Wargames are a mathematical construct imperfectly trying to recreate a
very chaotic environment. If the point of a tournament with "even"
points on each side is to give an even playing field, why do you belive
it fair to give some troop types a free ride?
If the cost is the same per figure, and one figure is clearly superior
mathematically to another, it is not a fair and even game. Mind you, I
enjoy playing unbalanced games as they add spice, but lets be honest on
the outcome.

Its ok Jon, I realize that some favorite tournament armies are more
"equal" than others and that is the way of the world.
Anyway, my interest lies mainly in historical campaigns, not tournament
play, and "fair" does not really enter into the equation for these. Very
few historical military campains in history could be called "fair". I
will be interested in what your take on this area is when CW is published
