Warrior Ancient and Medieval Rules

Jon,

I am a bit confused on shield use in fan Warrior.

Models normally do not count shieldless, but some items say to count for all
rules as LMI or LHI unless otherwise noted, such as Swarm. Would, for example, a
Bat Swarm count as shieldless LMI or as LMI and ignore shields on the chart as
they are a model?

I have been treating Swarms as models,ignoring shields, but wanted to check.

Swarms are not models. If something says 'counts for all rules as', then that
is exactly how to do it.
