Anyone get painted figures back from Fernando Enterprises in Sri
Lanka yet?

I am probably sending them some stuff but wanted to talk to someone
who had dealt with them first.

What scale figure and "level of service" did you get? Did you
provide pics or instructions? Did they come out well, and did they
come out like you expected or wanted?

I want them to paint my 28mm Front Rank Hundred Years War English.
As a for-instance there's a good picture in Osprey's Warrior
#11 "English Longbowman" for a reference, but I want to explain a
couple points of departure from the figure in the plate (I am
probably picky enough to be a horrible customer for a painting
service).

I haven't actually spoken to him when he was here at H-con but by e-
mail I mostly get form letters and there seems to be a bit of a
language hurdle - namely I can't write English very well myself
probably.

If this isn't an item of general interest you can e-mail me offline
at jjmurphy@... (but make sure you say something clear in
the subject line as I am a bit quick with the delete button nowdays).

John, (and Danny)

I have not sent figs to him, but Danny Weitz has. You
may not know him, but he is a long time gamer. I've
seen the figs (only the 15mm though) and they are
extremely well done. The 15mm byzantines and gauls
are outstanding. The figs are individually packaged
in a plastic packet - so they are not based. I know
that Danny provided some instructions for some of the
figures. I'm CC'ing this message to him as well -
hopefully he can tell you more.
