Here here Chris. I am 100% with you on this one. The biggest single thing
that atracted me to WRG was the fact that sometimes your units did not
behave as YOU see fit. The counter/approach rules are the way they are to
take away omnipotence and try to inject some realism into the game. In the
example the dude originaly gave, it is VERY unlikely that on a medeval
battle field the unit in question would know that the closest enemy unit was
covered, allowing them to move away to a more tactically advantageous
positon.
