Just read Jon's Spearpoint article. (No, I'm not going to get in the
middle of that scrum with Ewan.)

Jon points out that Regular LCh are worse than Irregular LCh, because
of the impetuosity. Doesn't putting the general in the chariot unit
eliminate this deficiency? You talk about the skirmish advantage the
Egyptian LChs have.
