Hi, on the Warrior web site it says

"ROMAN INFANTRY RULES: The "fulcum" rules as outlined in Imperial
Warrior apply to the following troops:

List 6, Thracian Late Period, Roman Legionaries (NOT Imitation
Legionaries)"

What are the fulcum rules?

Fulcum is a list rule applying to certain troops in Imperial Warrior and is
found in that book.

Here it is:

FULCUM: Marian, EIR, Severan MIR legionaries and those troops named "Roman
Legionaries" in lists 2, 3, 8, 14 can adopt a new formation called "fulcum". It
differs from a "Byzantine foulkon" in that it was designed to resist cavalry
charges, not missile fire, and it is based on Arrian's account of his battles
against the Alans. Details of this formation are:
1. Fulcum has the same characteristics as a block and must be marked or made
obvious to the opponent in some way (a small stand with pila stuck butt-first
into the ground would be best). Fulcum must be entered using a maneuver (Change
of Formation, 6.12). Fulcum must be left using a maneuver (Change of Formation,
6.12) except in the following circumstances:
· When a unit recoils.
· When a unit breaks.
· When a unit rallies.
When any of these circumstances occurs, the unit involuntarily leaves fulcum and
reverts to a block of the same dimensions as it was when in fulcum and then
recoils, breaks or rallies depending on the
circumstances. A unit can change its frontage by up to two (2) elements when
entering but not leaving fulcum. Units in fulcum do not otherw ise move unless
they first leave the formation by making a maneuver or if they recoil, break or
rally.
2. Legionaries in fulcum facing mounted troops at first contact are treated as
armed (only) with LTS.
3. Except at first contact with mounted enemy, while in fulcum, HTW-armed
legionaries are treated as 1HCW fighting only one (1) rank; JLS-armed
legionaries do not "revert" to 1HCW but only fight one (1) rank.
