Jon,
Have you asked Craig Scott or Paul Georgian, both of whom if I
remember correctly are fans of Harry Turtledove's eleven "Videssos"
books, about doing Fantasy Warrior lists for the armies and enemies of
Videssos?
Several people have offered to do these, but so far I have received none.
Its ok with me if they submit some for us to give an official playtest stamp
to. Or, folks can just do their own for their own use.
Same with any other fantasy genre. I am sure I will get to the Jordan and
RR Martin lists someday.

Jon,
Have you asked Craig Scott or Paul Georgian, both of whom if I

books, about doing Fantasy Warrior lists for the armies and enemies of
Videssos?
If they are unavailable to perform this service I would be interested
in seeing what I could put together for it, or to help if you can find
someone more in tune with the Byzantine-based military background of
the series.
The Videssos armies would be essentially based upon three eras of the
Byzantines - Maniakes / Heraclian (albeit oddly with Varangians
already), Krispos / Early Nikephorian pretty much right-on and finally
(though the books were published in reverse order actually) Gavras /
Early-Later Komnenans (with the addition of EIR legion foot). Better
period names based on the characters in the books instead of
historical ones.
The "enemies" for the Heraclians would be Makuran which is essentially
Sassanid Persian. For the Nikephorians they would be Rus while for the
Komnenans they would be Yezd / Arabs-Turks-Mongols and also various
nomad barbarian sometime-ally sometime-enemy.
If it sounds like an interesting project let me know.
