The following is gonna be run at DerekCon 25. An idea whose time has come I'd
say. Too bad there's no list out there with elephant proof Irr A SHK:)Smile:)

DEREKCON 25 - March 23, 2002
The Ultimate slime tournament !!!!!!!!
Ever sit around for hours going through list after list after lists looking
for that perfect list? I say to hell with the lists. Make your dream list and
run it at Derekcon 25. Burmese elephants, SHK IA, and Heavy Chariots all in
the same list. The only thing I ask is to keep the troops as something that
already exists in some list somewhere and to work within the minimums of the
lists. You can run more of a certain troop type if it exist in more than one
list. i.e. Burmese elephants as an ally in another list. So it would be
possible to run an army of nothing but Burmese elephants. CinC is required.

Location - War Dogs Game Center
2580 Atlantic Blvd.
Jacksonville FL 32207

25mm tourney - Warrior Rules - They are out and have a few available for $14.
3 - 3 1/2 hour round games - One day tourney
1700 point armies - one perfect list
Preset terrain
Optional rules: 2HCT fights a rank and a half
: Swiss pike fight behind 2HCT
: Close formation troops do not test waiver for lights of
any type routing
: EHC with missile weapon may skirmish
: All generals may prompt themselves to reroll waivers if
they have the
minutes. Prompt as an order change.
: Ally generals add +1 (to down rolls) in every turn of
combat instead of
just the first. Just like CinC's.
: EHI and SHI do not fatigue for moving.
: Weaker lists may change troop types slightly
(i.e. Varangian Guard in Byzantine lists may add JLS)
Call for approval. 904 318 3290
Entry fee: Show up with an army.

We (which back then was Reigate, in the UK) ran a tourney a la this back
in 1993, under 7th. I recall IrrE LC B being very popular, along with
scythed chariots, and I believe that the winning army may have had only
those two troop types, along with one command stand!

[Multiply-armed LHI were also in vogue; plus the expected Irreg A armies
of SHK that Scott alludes to Smile]

Yeah but the difference here is that you hafta pull something that's on
a published list so phooey, no Irr E LC B or Irr A SHK that are elephant
and camel proof.

It is an interesting concept. I mean an army of Burmese elephants, SHK,
and Irr A LMI (using the sleazoid new spanish list with Irr A LMI with
HTW and JLS) and I'm there:)Smile:)
