You are right Jon ... and yes, I'm having a bad week ... er ... month.

You have to expand your back element out in order to fit, which you can do
under the 6.0 thoughts on what to do if you get inside of the 40p approach
restriction.

I hate message boards ... ~wink~ ... it is so much easier to show on a table.

This is about fitting in a space and NOT about the 6.53 gap rule.<BR>

Greg sent me an explanatory diagram offline (I wish he had posted it instead and
I will ask him to once I show him the issue with it).

His concept - the idea of losing a fight with one 'shoulder' to expose its flank
to a cav charge is a very valid one.

The sole issue is that a 2E Cav unit is 96p deep in 15mm and cannot (CANNOT!)
physically fit in a space between two units (friendly or enemy or both) that is
80p across. This is about fitting in a space and NOT about the 6.53 gap rule.

Once I have made this clear, we'll get that diagram or one like it with the
correct distances and to scale up on the group for all to see.

Jon
