Dark Age Warrior available now.
I've played Warmaster - one of GW's best efforts. My recommendation would be
to base 10mm like 15mm for three reasons.
1. Warmaster bases for infantry are 40mmx20mm already.
2. If 10mm grows at all as an available scale (and I think that is like the
idea of 8mm tapes at blockbuster), the figs will get bigger over time and we
might as well get ready.
3. Simplicity.

Thank you to Jon, scribblerjohn and Eric. I will have a go at the
FW cohort rules ... just got to go out and buy, base and paint the
figures, damn it ! Seriously though, as soon as I've paid off this
new computer I'm sending off an order to Pendraken for some 10mm
Romans and Gauls. I've seen some guys down the club with 10mm ...
(some of them were playing Warmaster ... is GW heresy on this
group ?) and they look v v tasty. Small enough to paint fast, big
enough to see.
Anyway, look forward to the Imperial list next year. When will we
see the Dark Age list ? Was it cited for April ? And finally, my
last question in my post ... roughtly what size army are the lists
intended for and is it intended that if you go up to a multiple of
that size, you take a multiple of the minimums, etc. I say this cos
the Warmaster lists explicitly say 'use these for armies of up to
xxxx points and take a multiple of the list if you go higher'. I
doubt I'll be competing with my 10mm legionaries but hope to get
some big scenarios going so am v interested in ideas on how to scale
up the lists.
cheers

>Published and on sale at Cold Wars. You can order them on the web page
although given your geographic location, you might need to work out the
details with Jake via email instead.

>No. Mins/maxs apply regardless of point values used. For the last
10-12 years now, we've termed our "Mini" open events as 1200 pt
tourneys, Open events are 1600 and doubles 2000. Alternative points are
1350. Anything less than 1200 pts and you're better off playing Fast
Warrior.
>Different point value tourneys (and the number of variations of a list,
we go with no more than two and often, local tourneys only allow a
single list) offer different challenges and often mix up the number of
"competitive" lists. So can table size. For example, this year at
Historicon, we're gonna "open up" the table size for the Mini (1200 pts)
so that 15mm games are played on a "standard" 6x4 table, 25mm on the
"standard" 8x5 table.
