Please correct me if I'm wrong but the list rule states "Han infantry may fight
in mixed units of the same order as may swordsmen/bowmen." So with that in
mind, before I waste anymore of my dwindling braincells on this exercise, isn't
your statement below inaccurate?

but now that you can no longer take JLS behind the 2HCT in the Han list (a
'downgrade' from the society version) you are indeed paying for that capability
without the efficiency that a brigans- or marine-type unit would give you.

Those things are literal, Tim. Han infantry means infantry labeled 'Han'.
Guards/Gallants are not such.
