In both games, I task organized with the 2inC commanding all the
mounted and the Spanish Scouts and the CinC commanding all the foot.
The plan was to pick a point of attack and throw all the knights there
supporting with the foot. In hindsight, I should not have used that
organization in the game against Derek. There was terrain on both
sides of the battlefield and my organization hampered my deployment and
allowed Derek to control the terrain. Derek did a better job of
maintaining a reserve and performed his ussual masterfull job of
utilizing his shieldless Reg D archers. All told, this meant that his
army outlasted mine and he won decisively.
I had a great time and the only down side was that we had two
folks that could not attend that I was looking forward to seeing. I
hope that more people make it next year.
