Are we done yet with the political BS, as Jon asked? I joined this forum to see
how things were with the Warrior rules

>Let me start getting us back on track:)Smile:)

>Things are fine with the Warrior rules. Yeah, we could always sell more copies
of everything (hint hint) and would always appreciate a big investor so that Jon
could retire better:)SmileSmile That being said, we're slogging along pretty well.
As time as progressed, we (FHE) have begun to realize some of our philisophical
goals when we obtained rights to the basic system. By that I mean we're well on
our way to completely cleaning up the rules verbage, finding those pesky little
holes and stuffing them shut plus creating a better, more detailed game that
finally takes into account the inherent goofiness of trying to simulate 5000
years of warfare with one set of rules.

>Jon's working on about 4 projects at once so progress on any given one doesn't
rip along. However, since many things in those projects are interelated, it's
the best way to proceed. Of these, I'm the most excited about Fantasy Warrior.
It'll be a supplement and it's a scream to play. And Warrior Battles, well, Jon
needs to talk about that. It's another project I'm very excited about in terms
of how it'll reach out to new potential gamers, or those old ones wanting to try
us out again but are a little daunted by Warrior itself.

>In the meantime, lil ole me (with gobs of help from Bill) is plodding along
with army lists. We'll have the long awaited Imperial Warrior available at Cold
Wars (and shortly thereafter on the web site and Jake will be taking care of any
other shipments to dealers and such--not my job) and I'm sure the Roman Rules
will engender loads of commentary:)SmileSmile I live for the day that I can get rid
of the supercession list since that would mean ALL FHE lists are published.
Next year baby, *early* next year.

>I'm up to list #8 in Oriental Warrior as we type.

>Most importantly, we support these rules passionately, both in here and "live".
Whatever it takes to get people playing and more importantly, enjoying the
system (at whatever level), that's what we'll do.

>Don't forget to hit either the files section in the e-group or go to our
website for the latest clarification list or erata.

Scott

Is there any document that highlights the differences between 7th and
Warrior?

Greg Preston made such a document called War_7th which I have just placed in
the files section.

Now, I scanned it and there is nothing 'wrong' with it, the rules info all
seems good. However, Warrior started with the 7.6 engine, which apparently
never reached Australia. In fact, I am not sure what version (7.0-7.6) Greg was
playing whe he stopped 7th and started Warrior. But as there doesn't see to be
anything wrong with any of the rules statements, this may be of some help to
you.

J
