Warrior Ancient and Medieval Rules

I am thinking about trying to use the late period and have a
question about the list. The first line of the late list
states "Mercenary Pikemen/Billmen, Sword and Buckler Men, SHK/EHK
Reg B upgrades, Neapolitan-led Almughavars/Crosswbowmen from Middle
Period."

Keeping in mind I am new at decipering these things, does that mean
the upgrades available in Middle Period, like the upgrade to HI, are
available also in Late Period?
