Jon,
Did you see my question on defended TF's that I uploaded into the files
section?
Thanks,
Ed
Yep
The diagram is very confusing. It looks like three units (two illegal)
behind six elephants...lol Rather than try and work with it, I thought I'd
answer with a diagram that I think gets to your question. But I need some
time.

Jon,
It is confusing. That is what generated the question.
The "six elephants" are Wagon lager TF's. The only requirement on TF placement
I can find under 14.43 ( new supplement ) is that they must be touching. Those
in the diagram are touching. Does this need to be further defined?
The unit defending is conforming to the TF as I thought was permitted for TF and
terrain features. It bends them into a U, but they are conforming.
Thanks,
Ed

Jon
This is a very interesting question. This similar problem came up
when Matt and couple of others were playtesting a FanWarrior
scenario. We didn't have wagons, but a palisades around a village.
There was a unit of Bowmen along the palisades similar to the
diagram, the only difference was the attacking unit was somewhat as
shown below, coming in on a angle to the corner. Do the bowmen in the
village get a shot or not since they line the palisades? Then when
they attack,I have the same problem that the other Ed mentioned.
(And we all know that two ED's are better than one.LOL)
