Hi all
Sorry but this is a long post.
Its been a while since I've posted (problems with my ISP and
viruses) so I have to let you know about the last two comps I have
been involved in running
1. BMW 2004
This was a 25mm doubles fast warrior competition held in June over
2 days. We had 12 players in 6 teams with team members bringing the
same army but alternatly swapping with their opposition (round 1
player 1 uses own army player 2 swaps with opponent). This comp was
great with 6 rounds played and a final round of one on one games
that involved some extra people(including Adrian Wiliams wife Louise
who played me to 3 all draw!)
The results were
1st.Paul Collins/Adrian Williams - Feudal Spanish
2nd.Greg Preston/Paul Rattray - Free company
3rd.Mark Ball/Murray Evans - Bedouin Tribes
4th.John Harris/Tibor Lendvai - Iayzages
5th.Chris Jelous/Ian Poade - Selucid
6th.David James/Nathan Jones - Ptolemaic
Thanks to Guy Sheppard for helpng me to make this run smoothly.

MOAB 2004
Another great event with 18 players playing 6 games over 3 days,
25mm, 1300pts. All games were played in a friendly and competitive
manner and I had a great time.
The final results were
1st. Greg Preston 22pts Medieval Spanish
2nd. Murray Evans 21 Fuedal Spanish
3rd. Martin Williams 20 Han Chinese
4th. Paul Collins 19 Mauryan Indian
Paul Koschell 19 Araucanian
6th. Ian Poade 18 Nikephorian Byzantine
7th. Mike Morgan 17 Armenian
Paul Rattray 17 Nikephorian Byzantine
Adrian Williams 17 Carthaginian
10th.Jeff Tilitzki/Bob Jeffrey15 Arab Conquest
11th.Guy Sheppard 13 Arab Conquest
12th.Darren Holmes 11 Byzantine
Steve Honeyman 11 Early Summerian
14th.Chris Craig 10 Yuan Mongol
Barry Hayes 10 King David Scots
16th.Richard Morgan 9 Nikephorian Byzantine
17th.Leigh Dunn 6 Granadine
18th.John Harris 5 Later Achmaenid Persian

The competition was close with the last round having any one of 10
players concievably (but possibly not realistically) being able to
win. Thanks go to all the players and to
John Harris and Barry Hayes for making it run smoothly.

The next Australian Event will be in Newcastle where Greg Preston
and his clubmates will put on another great weekend of socailly
competitive gaming.
Mike Morgan
