who struggle to place in the top 50%. The top guys, again, are not *all*
about just getting more lead. FWIW. And, it's still hard to get some of
the "NICT crowd" to play FW. Ambrose played on Sunday and had a field day
so let's hope that's a trend.

I agree Scott, and besides giving lead to the winner is like giving a new
driver to the golfer with the longest drive. When we give away lead here,
it is usually something creative (like Kelly's next to last) that will give
a large probability of it landing in the hands of a newer lead needy player.

It has been a long-standing tradition around here, to give away a
prize of figures to the first place finisher, who then picks a newbie
to give the figures to. I remember many, many years ago, finishing
dead last in a 6th Edition tournament, only to have the tournament
winner give me his prize, a nice slew of Early Imperial Romans. I
painted them loveingly, and about a year later got to play him with
them. He smoked me like a Cuban cigar, but to this day I remember the
gift and the giver.
