I was wondering if the following was a legal formation for a Late
Period Swiss list army:
CINC LHI P + 3 Reg A LHI P @ 121 pts in the front rank
4E Reg B LMI P @ 4x16=64 pts in the second rank
4E Reg B LMI 2HCT @ 4X20=80 pts in the third and rear rank
No command factor paid since the general is joined to the unit, so
the total cost would be 121 + 64 + 80 = 265 pts.
There are a total of 12 elements in the formation, so I haven't
exceeded the maximum, but is it permissible to mix the unit with Reg
A LHI's in the front and Reg B's behind?
Besides the legality of the formation, does this make sense for
movement and combat, or will the 4 element wide formation be too
unwieldly?
