Well I learned many lessons that day. I have never
used 2hcw since, nor do I bother with anything that
becomes shieldless ever. I also, if using slow moving
close order, will use massive amounts of it, for if I
had had a second unit like that fyrd, I would have hit
him in the second bound and probably routed him.
Hey in the next game against Scott Dickson, those same
fyrd routed or shook half his Skythian army. A
general under rush orders in a 12 man saka wedge ran
uphill (see I learned to put them on terrain) and
rolled -3 to my +3 (IIRC) , turned around and routed
through the meat of his army shaking many. I promptly
sent in the HC wedgies and spanked him good :)
Ah what memories. This was the first ever Augusta
tournament held by Chris D. It was in some attic like
space in a motel
