In sec.5.141 Waver test, the term " beyond difficult terrain " means
that every element of the mounted unit must pass though a very rough
or rough area or cross an obstacle in order to contact the unit that
is the object of its charge. Does this mean that a two element column
of lance armed or wedge fighting cav. can cause loose and open foot
to test for waver beacuse the rear element which can fight has not
crossed the terrain? I know we have a visibiliy question with woods
but brush does not slow or limit visibility. The wording in this has
me puzzled. Please help. David

The rule actually says "every element that makes contact". I believe this
answers the question.
